Dr Louise Karan graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2005. She is currently awaiting General Practitioner fellowship having completed her FRACGP training requirements.
Louise provides patient-centred generalist care including acute injuries, mental health care needs, and chronic and complex care needs. She currently also provides care at Wyong Hospital’s Urgent Care Centre, with a focus on walk-in lacerations, fractures, eye complaints, and sporting injuries.
Louise has a varied background as a web site creator, podcast editor, musician, music teacher, film and theatre reviewer, and ex-soldier in the Australian Defence Force. She was the Director of Publications for Sydney University’s Medical Society; assisted in the development and creation of web sites for clinical schools, research institutions, and student learning delivery sites at Sydney University’s Faculty of Medicine; previously performed in Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra; and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree with honours in Music and English from Sydney University.
Louise currently enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at their family-run Jiu Jitsu Academy in Springwood.
