Stewart Stubbs is a fully Registered Psychologist. He initially trained as a Counsellor in the UK. When he returned to Australia with his family in 1996 he studied psychology at Charles Sturt University, Bathurst and the University of Sydney. He has MHlthSc (Child & Adol) BSocSc (Psych) Ad. Dip. Integrative Coun. Assoc MAPS
He has worked in the Mountains, Western Sydney and the city since 2000 as a counsellor, health educator and psychologist. Stewart has assisted individuals and families with a range of needs and mental health concerns. He has experience of providing interventions for anxiety, depression, stress, loss, life adjustments, parenting and drug and alcohol issues.
Stewart aims to help his clients increase their capacity for self-care and utilise personal strengths to bring lasting change to identified problems. He uses an integrative approach when working with others and draws on treatment approaches from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Relaxation, Mindfulness and Positive Psychology fields.
